Facilitate networking and sharing of opportunities with women in Computer Science / Information Technology - recognizing that there is power in purposeful collaboration and networking.
Establish a platform for mentorship targeting upcoming young women in Computer Science / Information Technology.
Identify opportunities and broker partnerships for professional training / development and exposure of women in Computer Science / Information Technology
Manage the AfChix platforms: websites and mailing lists

Milestones

In the past 10 years, upto 7000 high school girls in Kenya and Uganda have benefitted from the mentorship and career guidance programs provided by AfChix.
In 2014, AfChix installed 20 computers, a projector and internet in Uganda Society for the Deaf Vocational Training Centre, Namirembe. As a result, over 300 deaf students learn and practice basic ICT skills and use of internet every year
Since 2012, over 50 university students and women in technology have attended and benefitted from the annual Gracehopper Celebrations Conferences in the USA, AfNOG Chix workshops and Africa Internet Summit conferences in the different African countries.
At least 100 resources have been shared on the AfChix mailing list. These include Job opportunities, call for conferences, and scholarship opportunities for women. The platform has been used to exchange ideas such as answers to researchers and interview questions and answers for ladies transitioning from Technical to Managerial roles.
